Reality 2.0, the Internet, and You (July 2009)

Whether you're developing personal relationships or relationships with your customers on the Internet, this workshop is for you. Do you (or someone you know) have a relationship on the Web? Are Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube a little scary? What happens when people who don't know each other begin to connect in real life? Lauren created the term "Reality 2.0" to describe this phenomenon, where relationships online become relationships in the "real world." Web 2.0 is the result of the interaction that people have with "social networking" sites, including MySpace, LinkedIn, and more. Lauren leads this seminar showing what thesese technologies are, how to use them to make connections "for the better," and when to be concerned. Lauren has been online since 1988, and met her husband online in 1994.
